From Tennis Hall of Fame to TeamFAME: Building Community Through Tennis
TeamFAME evolved from an after-school program to one that is year-round by offering two, seven-week summer sessions. On August 24, the second annual Sunset Slam took place at the International Tennis Hall of Fame to honor the inaugural graduating class.

First Serve Bridgeport Making Greater Impact Than Tennis
A largely self-funded organization, First Serve Bridgeport now offers regular personalized tennis instruction multiple times a week at Puglio Park to nearly 100 kids, educational support at the neighboring library, Junior Team Tennis (JTT) competition for its higher-level players, full funding of the Bridgeport Central High boys’ and girls’ tennis teams and a successful college prep program.

Belmont’s Karagozyan creates Rally for Tennis fundraiser to benefit Advantage Kids

Local community helps make young tennis player’s dream a reality
Oziera Ahmad’s tennis dream is quickly becoming a reality and it’s thanks to a village of her supporters. The daughter of a Malaysian immigrant, Ahmad, 16, whose goal is to play Division I NCAA tennis, took a major step closer to achieving that dream last November when she moved down to North Carolina to train full time.

Maine Athletes Shine at Special Olympics
Back in June, the Foundation helped two athletes from Maine, and their coach, fund a dream trip to compete at the Special Olympics USA Games at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, FL. Athletes Justin Beliveau and Cody Herard, along with Cody’s dad and the duo’s coach for the games, Paul Herard, made the journey to Florida with an army of support behind them.

'I AM A TENNIS PLAYER’ CAMPAIGN DONATES $2,000 TO NEW ENGLAND TENNIS & EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The U.S. Tennis Association of New England (USTA New England) ran a summer-long marketing campaign to promote tennis and celebrate players on and off the court. As part of the campaign, branded merchandise was sold to support the New England Tennis & Education Foundation, the 501(c)(3) philanthropic arm of USTA New England. Today, the organization is happy to announce a donation of $2,000 to the foundation on behalf of the ‘I am a tennis player’ campaign.
